I changed my o-rings this weekend and it did improve some of the problems. Before when I'd rev up to 3k it would only get to 2500, then hesitate, then go on, and puke out a big cloud of blue smoke....it doesn't do that anymore.
But when I'm driving along, typically in low RPM (idling aroung a parking lot), when I push the clutch in, it stutters, whole truck shakes, rpm drop off abit for about 2-5 seconds...then corrects itself.
On the highway and all it seems fine, no issues.
What's next for me then, IPR? If it isn't leaking any oil, does that mean it's not as simple as IPR orings, and I should just replace it?
Possibly a sensor like the ICP or the infamous CPS. You may want to try the new black one.
Honestly, it sounds like my truck. Except for instead of pushing in the clutch, it does it when I shift into P or N. I have checked my ICP, MAP & EOT with the "hillbilly" methods, lol. I have changed the IPR o-rings, CPS and all rubber fuel lines in the valley. I am basically left with one of two things. Bad injector o-ring(s) or bad injector(s) themselves. But I have 249,000 miles.
My HPOP cover plate check plug was partly cross-threaded by the previous owner, so I'm not going to pull it. I guess I'll have to try to collect the oil before it gets into the valley somehow.
If the injector rings are new, and I do the IPR rings, what's left? And fuel pressure is shimmed and is at 70psi. Was 55psi before shimming.
