I have a problem... and a rather odd problem. So my wife is driving my truck , and turns the corner at a drive thru too sharp and hit the concrete colum and dented in the bed of my truck right on top of the fuel tank cap... now my fuel gauge acts all haywire ..just wondering if someone on here might have an idea of where i should start looking to see if i can fix it.. thanks
you caould talk to a good divorce attorney............LOL
it's prob in sending unit inside the tank. It may have ruptured or even collasped the brass float that tells the guage how much fuel is there...
it's NOT a hard job and Dont let ford tell you that you cant replace the float.
they will try to sell you the entire sending unit with pump.
the float is like 6 to 8 bucks.
