fuel system problems
my vehicle has sat for over a year. when i tried to start it the fuel pump was not kicking on, went through the motions of figuring out it was the fuel pump itself.
replaced the fuel pump, and filter.
no i can hear the fuel pump kick on, but still wont start. and there is no pressure at the valve on the fuel rail.
what to do?
fuel line blockage?
pump hooked up wrong?
anything else?

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I meant did you change the filter again after changing the pump? Once working, the new pump could've moved sediment from the tank and into the fuel line, clogging the filter.

Not if fuel wasn't getting past the filter. It's just a thought since you're not getting fuel up to the fuel rail.

Your engine wouldn't sputter if it plugged off again right away. You could cut open the one you pull off to see what it looks like inside, and to help determine if for sure this is your problem. Of course, don't use a grinder or electric tools to do this because of the fuel or vapors that may still be in the filter, I suggest a hacksaw.
