Lowering Shackles

I bought a pair of Crown 1-2 lowering shackles off ebay for my 66 LWB.

It looks to me that the shackles will hit the bed.

Im thinking that I will need to cut the second eye off and install them as a 1in drop.

I have 4 springs + the helper, I use this as a truck and really don't want to remove the helper for the sake of lowering the rear.

Im looking to level out the truck, no plan to modify the front suspension.

Thoughts?

yes they hit, you just need to cut a small hole in the bed, or trim the shackle and use the 1 inch hole. but be warned you will not get a full one inch at the wheel. the 2 inch hole will give you more like 1 inch at the wheel.
