I have those, but where do they go into? The post above says the new pillar pod goes over the factory one... maybe I am just slow...?
You drill holes in the factory one and new one. Don't install them until you know everything is working right. Chris will hook you up! I tried to rep him but I'm in rep jail.
Pyrometer with the Drill and Tap (very very afraid of drilling the manifold, and not 100% sure on how to correctly use the tap)
I was nervous about tapping the hole too. Turns out to be easy! Drill and tap it dry, no oil or grease on the bit. The shavings will vacuum out if they are dry. I also used a magnetic probe to get a few stray bits out of the manifold. My tap handle was too big to swing up in there so I duct taped the tap into a socket on a 3/8 extension. The tap is a tapered thread, so I figured I'd go deep to make a bigger hole to get greater thread strength. But in hindsight I'd tap the hole small, for two reasons; with a big hole the fitting goes in deeply making it more of an obstruction, and years from now when it's leaky and rusty as he11 you may be able to tap it again for a new probe of the same size.
One of the bigger decisions will be choice of beer. I'd say if the guages are Glowshift, go Pabst. Autometers go with Budweiser. Isspros, black and tan with Guiness and Corona.

Once you take a look at my pillar and you will be feeling better. Those little tabs work awesome. I've been over plenty of washboard roads that will shake you fillings out of your head but my pillar never has budged. I even have a few extras if you want to be super, ultra covered. Actually the weatherstrip hold that pillar damn tight to the truck also.

I like how you rate... Actually, just helping a brother out is just as good.
Update: We were able to get Lloyd's gauges in yesterday. Clay and Isspro have some nice stuff. He bought the EV2's. I had to noodle over how the wiring went but after that, it was pretty simple. Lloyd has the four pillar gauge pod with boost, fuel pressure, pyro and tranny temp. Very nice looking set up once we got it in. We were able to hook up the potentiometer as well so his gauges can dim correctly. We had to drill and tap his intake for the boost since his was an early '99 so no AIH to delete and I had to re-crimp some of the wires at the gauge plugs since I wasn't able to get the little black lego tool to completely mash down the wires on the first try. Overall, if anyone is thinking about a gauge kit, Isspro's are very nice and Clay gives you great instructions. Now we need to get his HPX, CCV and FPX done.

Thanks again for your help. Really enjoying them. Sure shows you how much is actually going on. ITs crazy how EGT's can go from 300 to 1000 and back in less than thirty seconds it seems.
