Help please
i'm haveing problems starting my 94 f series truck the glow plug light only stays on for like 2 seconds at the most and the solenoid does click if someone could help me out it would be very appreciated

I don't know much about diesels, so I have very little to go on. Do glow plugs have a specified resistance range? Can you check to verify the resistance is in spec?
Did the light stay on longer and only recently started going off very soon?

it just started recently even after it has been running for a good time and i shut the truck off and leave it for an hour or so and it takes a really long time to get it going....and i'm not sure i just got the truck about a year ago for the spec's of the plugs

hard start might not be related to the glow plug system. It might have another problem. an old boss had a 94 the the 7.3 and he always had problems with either injectors or injector wiring (can't remember) and this made it a real pain in the *** to start.
If the glow plugs are not remaining on as they normally do, then it's in that system somewhere. I would determine how the truck determines how long to run the plugs for.
...and unfortunately, we have reached the end of my knowledge of diesel glow plugs. gonna have to wait for a real diesel guy to get on here.

Might try asking on the diesel board. There's a TON of good help there... not saying this is the wrong place just saying you might get help faster there then here.
