small porta power between head and firewall. best bet is the 3" to 3 1/2 than to 4'. moving the firewall for a 4" down pipe is a lot of pushing on the firewall
x2 on what the nice man with the cute puppy said. I put in a 3 1/2 DP and it took me all day with a porta power laying in the snow. I used boards between the head and firewall and between the trans and firewall. I don't think I would do it again. If you have a body lift I heard its easier.
i decided to drill a hole in the floor and put a bolt through it. i attached a large sliding hammer to that. i drilled like 4 holes and pulled it back. i also did a 3" lift. its a b*tch, lol. it took 30minutes to do and 2 hrs to make my lift blocks
A 3 foot 2x4. Wedge it in there and push on it with you feet, then take a big hammer and knock the heck out of it. This was for a 3 1/2 in pipe. I got it in and it touched the firewall, made a horrible resonating sound the cab. Had to remove and bend the firewall some more.
I'm assuming your using an H2E kit or similar to mount the turbo? with the H2E style kits, it positions the turbo straight across. There are some other kits that position the turbo at an angle to make hooking up the exhaust easier.
