I was thinking, you know those two things on your bumper that stick up and have some rubber on 'em? Think someone could take the rubber off and then curve/bend to look like some big bad chrome teeth? (I realize that taking the rubber off might be a little hard but for the less involved they make em outta sheet metal) I think it'd look pretty mencing! What do you guys think?
You don't like them? I like how they look, most of the time at least. I think they're a very modest way to make the truck look just a little meaner.
Making them into teeth though would require work. You could weld up cones easy enough if you had thin enough steel to bend by hand, but curved cones would be a different story. I see it as a process of repeated cone making, cutting into sections, placing those sections, welding in, grinding, judging, and repeating that until you have relatively smooth forms. Tough to get them to match I'd say, side to side, but with a welder, a few grinding wheels, and a set of shears, you could do it eventually.
Take it from someone who built a bumper with spikes on it. Bad idea. I have gouged/ripped three pairs of shorts on those damn spikes, one was a brand new pair of shorts. I even managed to poke a hole in my leg once.
