Well I went and looked at the F250 that came in before the one I ordered. Its the twin to mine. But on the DIC there is a message that reads "Transportaion mode". The sales man didnt have a clue, Go figure LOL . Does anyone know what that means?
All you have to do to get it out of transport mode is: press brake 6 times, then cycle ignition 3 times, then press brake 6 times. They should do this when they prep the vehicle for you.

Thx for this info; you never know who might ask.
But this does take us back to the fact that the dealer should know this before we do.

My truck was in transport mode when I test drove it. My salesman didn't know how to get it out, so I watched the service tech take it out. He told me that it limits speed and will immediately shut the truck off if you fuel it up in transport mode. This way no one can get too far with a stoled truck off the lot.

Except all the smart thieves that monitor this website for ways to disable transport mode. (If they have the key)

Unless changed in the latest calibration, transport mode on the SD's does not include speed or power limiting features like those seen on GT500 KR's or the past Ford GT's. The only thing affected on the SD's is the battery saver protection that kicks in after 1 minute in transport mode rather then the normal 10 minute time delay.

Thanks for the clarification. I was certain I read somewhere that the limitations included top speed. My bad.
