getting rid of the stacks for good now Tim?? I'm thinking about switching to 5" from the DP back... Maybe get one of Dale's DPs that switches to 4" and go 5" from there back behind the tire again. Stacks are very messy..

That's y I don't have one in this truck. Always soot everywhere. I'm curious to how a straight 5'' from the dp would sound. Stepping up from 3 to 4 to 5 I think is y mine sounds different then others I've heard.

I am undecided about the stacks but I am tired of the sooted wheel from my side pipe I am running right now. If I put the stacks back on I want to get turn outs to keep the moisture out better so its not so messy.

I run a standard 3 inch DP then go out to 5 inch. I left the stock flange set up so I can move the pipe around depending on which exhaust I am running. Sometime I feel like I change my exhaust more often than my underwear!

Your still running that side pipe?! LoL. seems like you set that up like 2 years ago and you said the stacks would be back on soon back then. I have done 5 exhaust setups on this truck and probably try 2 more before I stop messing with it. single 6" miter stack and 5" to the back.

Travis, I bet you could drown out some rap music like no other with a straight 5". You'd be rollin coal like a mine town...

Yeah thats when I built it but I have gone back and forth about 4 times since then. It all depends on if I am running with my topper or not. Right now the toppers is on.

Dang. You do change exhaust a lot. lol. turn outs would be sweet on your truck or maybe even bullhaulers or Aussies. Not much water gets in my stacks at all. I have never covered them up.

I just finished my 5 inch exhaust on the old girl....and I love it!! I ordered an 8' piece of galvanized 5" pipe along with a 3" to 4" flair and a 4" to 5" flair and a 5" 45 degree elbow. I bailed it in front of the rear tire and used the stock hanger....pretty simple to do once I made the cuts and what not. I will try to take some pictures at some point and post them up....but it is pretty simple. Send me a PM if you have any questions.

Be prepaired for a dirty wheel even if your truck doesn't blow smoke. I can't stand the sooted tire/wheel that my side pipe creates.

I exit in front of my rear tire with a 4 inch straight and my tire/wheel stays pretty clean. The lower little bit of my extended cab gets a little soot on it though. My truck does blow pretty good smoke, of course more when towing.

on edit. I should have said front bottom of my rear fender...

I'm tired of my side pipe... exits too close to the cab, not much soot yet but I'm sure it'll get worse. Plus I miss how my 5" stacks sounded, but I don't want stacks anymore, unless I run them under the bed (which I can do, just havn't decided if I want to).

I might contact Diamond Eye and see if they can sell me just the tailpipe. They are in Oregon right? I would just wait till I move back there.
