97 F350

Ive been looking around for trucks, and I found a 97 F350 Powerstroke. RC/LB, XLT, Fresh automatic (Owner has reciepts), and 150,000 miles. Im interested in taking a look at this truck. But the owner let me know that it does have a little rust on the tailgate, and on the passenger side door sill corner. Also, it had a plow frame on it. But does not anymore. This shouldnt be anything to worry about should it? The rust should be an easy fix right?

I would look for rust in the seam joints, if it's there I wouldn't touch it. I passed up a F250 earlier this year, because it had rust from up North.

Since it was a plow truck look the front end over real close.

Rust is not easy to fix. Dents and mechanical issues are easy to fix but rust is very hard to deal with even for professionals. If there are bubbles in the paint that is already a rust hole thru the metal so look close. I bought my truck from the south just for that reason!
