EGR Take-Off

I want to remove my EGR valve. Can someone explain to me the process to completely delete it from the system?

There is a block off plate that has to be made or bought, than a resistor installed on the wires so the computer thinks the EGR is closed. I don't remember what the ohms is suppose to be though.

If you wanted to try no EGR and you didn't have a resistor, could you just leave the computer connected to the EGR valve and let it float around in the engine bay?

You would disconnect the vacuum hose, make sure the valve is in the full closed position, and leave it in the stock location.
