evap line replacement

i have a 98 expy with the 4.6 w code. i found my evap lines that run from the evap tank to firewall are all rotted. no check engine light yet but want to replace it before that point. i was thinking of using 1/2 inch conduit tubing for this project and was wondering what you all thought of this idea.

If your speaking of rigid electrical conduit, your building yourself a future noise you will create. Not to mention it won't roll and flex with the body. I wouldn't even do a partial, with changing weather conditions rubber hose dries quicker on metal lines and rots...I think you can figure the results.
I would stick with standard rubber lines, you can buy it at Autozone or whoever by the foot fairly cheap. Be sure to use hosing that won't collapse, like fuel line or similar.
