That's what I used to say, but the Rancho adjustable 9000XL is the only way to go. The Bilsteins are a great shock, but they are on the stiff side for unloaded daily driving.
I am brand new to the Ford Super Duty. Dogde convert. Anyway, I am really dissapointed on how my 07 250 rides. Currently it has Rancho Shocks. 5 days a week I'm on the interstate with no lodad at all. Weekends I normal pull the boat of my lowboy trailer loaded up. I read most of your discussions about Bilsteins and Procomp shocks. I just need a soft ride. Any help would be most appreciated.
the oem ford Rancho's are a joke thanks to ford specs
I have an 11 F350 FX4, I have to agree the shocks seem to suck. I had Rancho 9000's on my 02 F250 and they were great. I started with the settings medium but shortly found the rears set at 1 and the front at 3 for a long long time. Then I tried the fronts at setting 1 also and that's the best ride of all.
I am really leaning toward getting another set, but I just laid out 1600 for the new BFG's.
