Rough idle/trouble starting
My 03 4.2 f150 w/77k started running rough when I started it after a road trip. I turned it off to check things with nothing out of ordinary. Then it would turn over but not start. No check eng light and no other symptoms. First issue I've had with this truck. Any suggestions on where to start first? Thx

If it's the IAC, a small amount of throttle opening will allow the motor to start. All the IAC does is allow air to bypass the throttle plate for starting and idle control under PCM control.
If this does not allow starting, there is some other issue with ignition or fuel.

How did you fix your fuel pump? did you do it or did the shop?
