how do you replace oil pump and where is it located ?
from my previous no oil pressure is causeing my check engine light to come on if that is wrong ,throw you two cents in
First verify with a mechanical gauge IF you have low or no oil pressure. You may just have a bad sender or switch.
Being a gear pump I'd suspect the rear oil cooler header(the part your filter screws onto) having a bad pressure relief valve or a clogged sump screen.
If it is anythiung like the 6.9 I have then a mechanical guage is the way to go. My dad replaced the sender several times becausee of the light coming on and when we put the mechanical guage in we found that the sender was a POS.
if it is the oil pump, it is going to be spensive! gotta at least lift the engine a few inches if not pull it completely. This is uncommon i admit but another reason i am going ahead with the modification to the cross-member. cut-out/bolt-in.
