Poly or rubber engine mounts??

I need help quick. I just sent my truck in to have them check the engine mounts for a klunking noise. If it comes to be that the mounts are bad, what should I get, poly or rubber? I can get a sweet deal on the poly. They are usually like $300 and I can get them in the $150 range. The only concern is that am I going to feel a lot of vibration and such from the engine with the poly? I might change to a built 351 with about 350-400hp in the future so since the mounts will work with both engines, I'd like to get a set that will work with both. Is poly the way to go? Or should I just get the rubber ones? My friend has a 350hp mustang and the rubber ones didn't last very long at all so he switched to poly.

Poly or rubber engine mounts??

Go with the poly, just don't mix...if you use poly engine mounts you need to use a poly tranny mount. I use poly on my 600 plus HP Vette with no problems and no noticable increase in vibration. Deen
