Mine is so touchy that at low speeds in the neighborhood bumps of ice or bad spots in the pavement are a pain, once your over 30 or so it's no big deal. Low speed sensitivity is harsh sometimes.

I know this is an older thread, but I have the exact same problem. I was wondering can you just replace the sensor or do you need the whole accelerator pedal assembly?

Does anyone have the correct part number for what I need for an '08 Ford F-350 6.4l?

Thank you.

These items going bad are rare. Have you looked the ford parts site to see if you can drill down by the parts and then there should be imagines.

accelerator stuck down

I see this is an older thread, but I'm new to this forum and recently had the same problem. Has anyone heard any more about a fix for this? Last week, I went to pass someone on the highway and as I let off the gas, it stayed pinned to the floor. Got up to about 90mph before it finally let off. Floor mat was not near the pedal. Scary as hell. Luckily no one was in front of me. This has to be a safety issue. I'm sure if I take it to the dealer, they will say nothing's wrong. I have an 08 F350 Harley edition with about 90k miles.

mine me happened twice. The first time after passing a vehicle at 55 mph and had to get it stopped while power braking in the gravel, restarted and disconnected a edge programmer, about 4 years later it did it again, this time coming within 20 feet of a Subaru filled with kids. To make it short, Larry H Miller found the throttle peddle defective and I researched finding same manufacture as the toyotas.
Ive since sold the truck but had no other issues.
