A good coil (MSD, ACCEL) and set of wires (MSD, Ford Racing ACCEL), Motorcraft or Autolite sparkplugs (gapped at .055). I thinks that's pretty much all the parts you need if i recall it right.
If anyone remembers anything else feel fre to add it.
Check out Taylor Thunderbolt wires too & the higher the turn ratio on the coil, the better. Accell makes a 132:1 48K coil, compared to MSD's 83:1 48K coil. Go w/ the Accel. Turn #'s may vary slightly, as working from memory, but accurate w/in a few of turns.
"the higher the turn ratio on the coil, the better" Why's that Ymesky? haven't read this before.
Allows for a lower primary resistance for higher output coils. Primary resistance being the amount of resistance required to be overcome, to initiate plug spark. Preferable for our application. Especially when stretching plug gaps w/ copper cores. Fat, happy spark kernels!
Call it what you will, it really woke my truck up. I was only able to get 12ish* on the timing. I also cut off 1 cat and installed a flowmaster knockoff muffler. WELL worth the 200.00 I spent.

That Accell coil left me sitting along the side of the road after it being on there for only acouple weeks. I have a MSD now, and the old factory one under the back seat for a "just in case"

So'd my 60K Pertronix. Installed another one & it's been going for 4 yrs. now.
Sometimes s**t happens! Everybody has "fail" stories. I keep my old stocker under the seat too, along w/ my old serpentine, fuel pump relay, couple of plugs, The best longest plug wire from the last set, ect...
I'm surprised no one here said anything about copper vs platinum plugs. When your getting plugs, if it's a 300/302/460 use Autolite 25's, if it's a 351 get Autolite 24's... Or the Motorcraft equivalent.
