05 transfercase leaking ???

have an 05 fx4 the transfercase is leaking out the rear output shaft put new seal in and it lasted about two weeks and its still leaking to day i decided to change the fluid in it and when i took the fill plug out about a quart of fluild came out is there any way fluid from the trasmission can transfer into the transfercase thanks

i believe the transfercase is suppose to have about two quarts of fluid in it

ya they told me two quarts but i took out the fill plug not the drain plug and when i took out the fill plug i got a bath of atf

too much fluid would definitely screw your seal up, did you ask the dealer if your transmission could leak into it
