Ok, I have been reading alot on here over the weekend. I am currently in the process of replace seals and what not. I have it wll out and cleaned. I have just finished up the fuel bowl bc while I had it out I just did it bc it was just under $25.

I am a little nervious about stating on the HPOP. I dont wnat to mess it up. This project probally has taken my a little longer then it should but I want to make sure I get it right. I have been going back n forth to the net checking and reading things.

Is there any were that there is a step for step with every thing that is needed to be done?

Another question I had is do I fill it back up with oil after I get it reinstalled? Were do I fill it if I do?

Here you go...this ought to help you out on the install. You will refill the HPOP reservoir after you have reinstalled the HPOP. Be sure to suck the HPOP reservoir dry before removal of HPOP...saves clean up. Then at install after everything is hooked back up, refill HPOP reservoir. There is an Allen head screw in the top of the reservoir for draining/refilling the reservoir.

 

I have the 2001 SD books. Are you needing a step-by-step process for removal and replacement of the pump and reservoir or are you just needing the information on doing the o-rings, IPR and unserviceable plug? If it is the latter, Dieselorings.com has the write up in PDF form that covers pretty much everything.

 

yeah I have them both. I am just replaceing the o-rings and engine seal. Thanks guys. If I had time I would have done a nice write up on this but didnt have the time :/

 

ok i am doing the non servicable plug and had the little plastic ball in there and it rolled back inside of the damn HPOP.. HOW DO I GET IT OUT?? Im freaking out now..

 

Any help guys? I just got off the phoe with Bob and he said If I cant get out i might be FED

 

OK I got it lol I shot it out with some break cleaner. HOOOOOOOOOAHHH feeling alolt better now. lol
