I'm pretty new here but I wanted to share some photos of my truck. It is a 99 Expedition EB 4X4 that I have owned since new and decided it was time to give her a make over. I wanted to give the truck an updated look so I recently did a 06 front end conversion to it. In additon to the 06 conversion, I built a custom Deep Dish grille for it, a custom GT hood, and custom led halo headlamps. The bumper is a combination of a stock upper cover and a 07 F150 Stillen lower cover, heavily modiifed to fit. The front end wasn't the only thing I modified. I also shaved the roof rack and tail gate and also added a Stillen rear roll pan and a set of custom rocker panels. It is tu-tone painted Lexus Pearl White & Grey and the complete interior is going to be done in 2010 Ford Cashmere. It has been lowered 4-5" and I'll be running 22's on it when its finished.
I'm slowly working on putting the truck back together. Virtually everything including the glass was out of it in order to do the paint job the correct way. Plus I'm changing the interior color from the original tan to a 2010 Ford interior color which is an off white. So in order to do that every last piece of plastic has been removed in order to refinish them, including the dash. I have a million pics of the project so far. I'll have to put up a link for those that are interested in viewing them. Here is just a few of when I pulled out the dash and repainted it.
Im looking at rims and tires for my 99 expedition, it's an eddie bauer 2 wheel drive whats the biggest i can fit? I'm looking at some 24's or 26's with some 305/35/24 or 305/30/26 tires. Please can someone help?
Is the 2006 front end conversion a kit or did you modify new sheet metal to work , I have the same truck and am very interested in doing this since I just sank 4000 dollars into it for a new engine and plan on keeping it until it is dust. Got too much money wrapped up in her to let her go out that way , so I might as well give her a facelift .
she makes me happy (the truck not my wife lol )
Where should i get the parts and do i have to do a lot of body modifcation or cutting the new fenders. I will be doing this as soon as i save up the money

Not really a kit per say. I do this for a living so it was pretty easy for me. The 06 fenders will bolt on but they have to be modified to work with the 99 body. In my case the hood is a "one off" custom piece that I built, the grille is custom built, the bumper is custom built, and the headlamps are custom built. You could just use all the parts off an 03-06 Expe and just modify the fenders. It is a pricey mod, but I wanted something different and I wanted to breathe new life into my old friend. Today I took my headliner and sun visors over to a trim shop I work with. I'm having it redone with stock 2010 Ford Cashmere headliner fabric that will match the rest of the interior. Since the interior is gutted I installed dynamat type material on the underside of the roof to cut down on sound and the heat. I also plan to install the same on the floor before I install my new custom rug. I should have the interior 90% done by late next week. Today I also started my last big custom mod for the truck...some custom rocker panel covers that will extend the aggressive look to the sides of the truck.
