Dim gauges - need help

Is there a way to brighten the gauge lights ? I have replaced all of the bulbs and cleaned the plastic gauge face plate with little improvement. Its not the dimmer switch because the speedometer seems bright enough but the others are still dim.
I did notice that the clear plastic cover was hazy when i had it apart.
Today i did find a perfectly clear faceplate and will be installing this next weekend. Any more ideas on brightening the gauges?

i think i have the same problem, the fuel and speed gauge is lit. is the one with the engine temp supposed to be lit?

Can't tell you how to pull it off, if you have swapped the bulbs and it's not bright enough you need more current flowing to the bulbs.

You can go to sites like whitegauges.net and get yourself some LED bulbs, I have talked to several people who've made the switch and love them. I have'nt gone LED yet but I did put all new bulbs in, even the ones that looked good and now I can see all my gauges at night. Also wally world seems to have the lowest prices on the stock bulbs, I bought mine at advance auto and later saw that w.w. has them for half the price.
