I have a 92 F150 w/ 302, E4OD, 3:55. I don't have the cats anymore, now my smog pump is starting to squill and it's got to go. So what size belt do I need or is something else I can do. Thanks, Jeff.
The smog pump doesn't take that much to turn. It seem to me it would be better to just get a shorter belt. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the need for an eliminator pulley.
The last numbers in a belt part number are its length (if you were to cut it and lay it out from end to end). For instance, mine is K050990. K05 means 5 ribs, 0990 means 990mm. Hope this helps you out.
The point for the eliminator pulley would be that you can't just throw a shorter belt on there to bypass the smog pulley like you can on a 351. The 302 belt routing won't allow it... Been there, tried that.
I took my smog pump off my 92 F150 with a 302. I am running a Gates belt K060876. 13/16" X 88 1/8" OC. It was a little on the tight side. Been on there over a year now and still working great.
You don't need the eliminator pulley , but they cut down the distance from the crank to the other accsories & help the belt run true at higher rpms , i use one on my truck ....Lew
Some of the belt routing stickers do indicate them as the same but on some years (don't remember what I know fer sure 94) the tensioner is in a completely different spot.
Well I bought the 4060915 belt that cjben suggested but its longer than my factory belt. 4060910 is the Gates #. I even called Summit they said they don't carry a SP elimator for the F150 only the mustangs. So what do I do now? Thanks.
