hello! just installed a Cobra 29ltd in my F-350 Dually with flow through console. I mounted the CB on the side of center console where the pocket is and ran the wires through the pocket area and under the console. Then ran the Coaxial wire under the carpet to the back of the truck. This is where it gets complicated. I drilled a hole in the back of the cab and put the wire through, then put a rubber gasket around the edges of the hole and sealed it and bolted the Attenna on the outside of the back of the cab. I've been doing this for years on previous trucks and it worked the same on this one, except the mounting location for the cb is normally in the middle of the roof above the rear view mirror. However with this truck I moved it down and on the side of the console. I was going to mount it on the dash or in the console. Hopefully it gives ya an idea. You might not want to drill a hole in the back of your cab like me, but thats personal prefrence.
I, too, placed my small CB in the pocket of the console. I had the installer use a modular plug to make it easy to remove it any time I wish. I also didn't bolt it to anything.....instead, wrapped a piece of black rubber tool box puckered padding to prevent any rattle and it works great. I propped it at a slight angle....easier to control than any other I've had. I also don't install a permanent antenna because I want my truck to fit in my garage. I run the cable under the seat/floor mat and out the top of the back door behind the seat to a magnet whip. It may not be top dog, but it serves us well.
Jim....no, not in the console, but propped in the " pocket" at an angle towards my view. I did consider inside the console before I got the truck and saw this option. There is a power plug in the console that could also be used....but I felt it would be inconvenient to manage the CB during driving even tho I don't need it daily. I was thrilled when my petite model fit this way. I will certainly take some pictures and try to figure how to post them, but will take awhile as I'm out for the day. I'm thrilled with this option....no holes to drill beyond what the installer made in the bottom of the pocket to attach the wire....and I can remove it any time I wish. I initially figured I'd just live with it till I figured what to do....but have decided I love it this way. Granted, I have a petite CB....small black box ...that easily fits in the open pocket. The rubber mat stabilizes it , prevents any rattle .....hasn't moved an inch !
Jim: if this worked ....the above link should take you to one of the two pictures in the Photobucket album? I took a side and top view. I admit , it's not fancy , but I love it. No damage to my truck, removable, handy view/reach . Of course you could bolt it in the same place if you wish....I just didn't see the need. You likely already know way more than I, but I'll add that I'm told the real issue is with the antenna and tuning.....this petite radio has served me well in 5 trucks. I've usually resorted to a wired-in small antenna so I can get in my garage, but they are all poor for reception. This time I went with a quality magnetic . I don't need to have it up every day, so it is just hooked up and behind the back seat , ready to pop out the door.
If I get another picture up tomorrow, you'll see a tiny second antenna on the far side of the roof that is up all the time......a cell phone Z-Boost Repeater. It's only a couple inches tall and makes all the difference for dropped calls in the country. The thin wire runs under the back mat and plugs into the power point in the back of the console. It is also wireless and works great the the truck's bluetooth. Hope this helps.

I also notice you don't have the passenger airbag disable feature.
Was that actually an option? You have chapstick where the key switch is and the filler to the right of the traction control switch doesn't have the off LED. Interesting.

Kyper: I found the Standard Feature List where it states the air bag switch is only on the Regular and Super Cab....I have the Crew Cab ?? What does the " key switch " do that I don't have ? What should the left of the three switch button have ( I have the traction cont. in the middle only )? The manual is no help.
yeah In my supercab the key switch is in that spot where your chapstick is. it turns the passenger airbag off on them two cab styles, SuperCab and regular. Crews do have an option for them, but must be optioned.

to the right is passenger airbag off. middle is traction control, and left is hill decent.
They don't usually offer the passenger airbag disable on crew cabs because it is only used for smaller passengers (ie. children) and they are placed in the backseat of the crewcabs. Hill descent is an option only available with the FX4 package.

Yea, that makes sense.
Now that I distracted everyone, back to topic.
WAIT!!!! RUN IT INSIDE YOUR CENTER CONSOLE AGAINST THE PASSENGER SIDE!! Its double walled so when they mount it it wont go through. Also if you lift your cover you will notice a little groove on the right where the lid touches the console. The coiled mic wire fits there so you can be talking on your mike with the cover closed and locked. You can just leave your mic i one of your 4 cup holders while your doing this and just store it inside your console when not in use. Then have a small auxillery speaker wired under your dash by your gas pedals and emergency brake so you can hear. Thats how ive got mine run and it is fricken swwweeet!! Keeps the clutter to a minimum. It fits perfect so I can still have my little tray in there. Also, I have a wireless cell booster mounted under the dash and the signal booster wire is run inside my center console as well so I can hook my blackberry up to my bluetooth, sit it on the booster cable and use my sync. All this is mounted and my truck looks completely stock still with the cover of the console closed.
Also my antenna is run through the front through one of the grommets in the fire wall and to a mounting bracket that bolts onto the stock fender bolts just under the hood. This is by far the best set up for resale value as well. No visible holes. I'm runnin a 350 tho. Not sure if its the same flow through console as the 450s.
