7.3 Engine swap idea

I have a ford f-150 1996 with a 302 and i want to put a 1990 7.3 IDI diesel engine in it thats out of a ford f-350. I have a five speed manual in my truck rite now and am wondering if it would bolt up to it or if i need a new trans, and if so what trans should i get(preferably a manual). Also for this swap what all would i have to do to my truck.I have been reding some other guys ideas about diesel swaps and some say cummins or inline 4s, were can i find theas engines, and wats there cost

No gas tranny will bolt to the 6.9 or 7.3, you will need the zf5 tranny from a 7.3.

Is that zf5 trans a manual?

yes, zf5 is 4 standard gears and a overdrive in place of 5th gear.

and you can use a gasser zf5, BUT you gotta redrill the bell housing on it to match the bolt pattern.
