Lock Troubles
I have had problems with my locks since I got my Excursion. The main fuse under the hood blows every time I use the switch. I have taken it to a shop at home and they told me that I needed a new D.I.M. module or something. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

Does it blow when you use the switch on the other door? Not likely the module. Maybe a shorted wire in the door jamb harness or a bad actuator or switch. You could try unplugging one actuator at a time and see if the fuse still blows.

You know in the door jamb theres like a black rubber tube, thats where the wires run. After many cycles of opening and closing the door sometimes the wire insulation breaks and could short with other wires. Not likely but still possible. You can pull back the rubber tube and see the wiring or you try moving the tube around and see if the fuse still blows. If you unplug all the actuators and it still blows that would rule them out. Has anyone messed with the wiring, maybe an alarm?
