I dunno, I ran a Duramax stacked PPE Hot, Full transmission rebuild, lift pump and injectors....still smoked him. Eric at Innovative is probably your best source.
Not all Duramax's are fast
No they most certainly arent...
Back in 2003 I raced a first gen duramax from a dead stop and beat him to the freeway on ramp. All I had was a K&N filter, no other mods
Try Eric at Innovative or Spartan either choice gets the best results and works well with the 6.0...
I think a 1000lbs is exagerating a little bit there cheez
No exageration at all. Thats why the dmax have the edge in truck pulling. I pull in an 8200# work stock class, with me in the truck I weigh in at 8140. A duramax weighs in at 7K so they can hang that extra 1K plus of weights out front where it counts. See it most every weekend.
sorry to say, but to compare apples to apples (as in chevy with just a tune, and ford with just a tune) the chevy is a faster truck. You won't get there with tunning alone. I would recomend going with innovative tunes though.
Have to disagree with tuning alone, Ford is quicker and I can't ever remember my transmission going into "Limp Mode"
-What he said. Maybe because I am not in my 20's I don't understand the need to race others which proves what???.
I have 3 1/4 mile tracks within reasonable traveling distance from me where Test & Tune nights are fun. You get to see some amazing race cars and still have a little fun wowing the crowd. At what age should "one" not have a little competitive fun?
