4x4 Decal Missing

I found a 2009 F-250 CC, 4x4, Lariat that I am interested in and noticed that it did not have the 4x4 stickers on the rear of the bed. Can you even order them without the stickers or could this mean the rear may have been repainted and they did not put the stickers back on. Thanks

its a common mod to take them off. some say the truck has a cleaner look without them, and they peel off real easily.

Will dealers typically stock the stickers. If I decide to get this truck I will have them put the stickers on as part of the deal.

i doubt they will have them in stock, but they could probably order them, just ask.

Get the '4x4 OFF ROAD' decals over the ugly 'FX4' decals.

EDIT: Sorry, the '11+ 'FX4' decals are hideous. The 09s are okay. I still think the '4x4 OFF ROAD' decals look better.

Agreed. Those are the ones I will get if I pursue this truck. Red numbers "4x4" with black "off road" lettering.

definitely do a visual inspection of the truck...and you could always get a carfax for piece of mind...most likely the PO just took them off for a cleaner look. Just do your homework before your buy

you should look under the truck and make sure the PO didn't take the front differential out.

Talked to the owner and he ordered it without stickers. Said he likes the cleaner look. Ford confirmed by looking at the build sheet. $80 for 2 stickers.

My 2000 is a fleet truck, and did not come with the stickers. Some just do not come with them. Another part of the fleet order is that my rear axle ratio code is not printed on the door tag.
