360 balancer torque spec?

I put a new harmonic balancer on by '76 360. According to my manual (in the instillation section) it says to torque it to 80 ft lbs. However, in the torque spec section there is a "damper to crankshaft" listing for 130-150 ft lbs.

Anyone know which is correct?

80 ft lbs. seems too low. We had it set to 80 last week but when I went out today to hand turn it over to TDC the damper bolt just turned and tightened. It was way looser that 80 ft lbs so I'm thinking that just through trying to fire it over a few times that bolt has worked loose. I snugged it up just now to 90 ft lbs but the crank still isn't turning over. I do have all the plugs in so I could remove #1 to help the crank turn but I'm thinking it should be up in the 130+ ft lb range. I'd like to correct that before I do anything.

As it sits now I'll have to tighten it more just to get the crank to turn.

Official spec is 70-90 ft-lbs.

I wouldn't go more than 120 with an aftermarket bolt.

The engine should turn over with minimal effort with a 15/16 socket and a long handle ratchet, even with spark plugs in. With spark plugs out it's cake.

According to my Ford shop manuals it states 360-390cid specs at 130-150 ft-lbs. When I torqued the bolt on my 390 I hit it with an impact wrench set to about 100-120 ft-lbs and it's never been a problem.

Alight, I backed it out a bit and now it's back to 80. When I grab the fan blades I can get the fan to spin a bit but the balancer pulley did not move at all (the belts just spun).
