TRUCK YOU! A Blue 1994 Ford F-150 4×4
When it comes to retirement, it can be rather tricky. We’re talking both about actual retirement, such as adjusting to one’s new life without a nine to five job to go to, as well as the term itself. The reality is that very few people ever truly retire. They might not get paid for their services or spend their day performing specified tasks, but, as the saying goes, “idle hands are the devil’s playground.” Thus, many who have “retired” choose to continue being productive, either for enjoyment or directed purpose, and that is how they make their way through the years. It’s not a bad plan either.
FTE member Kapusta considers himself a “semi-retired ex-mechanic,” and judging by the fact that he still enjoys wrenching on his ride, we’re say “semi-retired” is right! Today we’ll be stepping inside his garage and taking a closer look at his rig that lies within!
Of course, whether one is retired or brand new to the driving world, Ford trucks are some amazing rigs to both cruise around town and spend time working on. They’re reliable, dependable, and as tough as they get. Kapusta’s ride, which he has endearingly dubbed “Frankenstein” is a 1994 Ford F-150 4×4 XLT.
The ride has a 5.0L motor from a 1992 F-150 and a ZF542 transmission from a 1989. He also proudly states that he has “never owned an automatic in a Ford pick-up,” which, we admit, is a pretty impressive feat!
In addition to his F-150, Kapusta also owns a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. If you’re still considering a laid-back and unproductive retirement, we won’t judge you. But, remember, idles hands might just lead to trouble! Go stop by Kapusta’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a great day! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on TRUCK YOU!
