A 2002 Ford F-150 Lariat Build
When determining whether you will, or will not, buy a certain vehicle, one of the most important factors to look at is how many miles the ride has. After all, the miles on the odometer signify how much the rig has actually been used which is, arguably, more important than the actual age of the vehicle. Of course, sometimes picking up a truck that isn’t low mileage can result in saving some valuable funds, not to mention that such a choice could result in a rather intriguing and wonderful build! That’s certainly the case with today’s project, which has been taken on by FTE member Garrick, who is otherwise known by his usernamed “Grizzly4x4.”
Garrick is currently working on building up a 2002 Ford F-150 Lariat. The ride has an extended cab, a short bed, a 5.4L motor, an automatic transmission, and a whopping 270,000 miles. Even with the high number on the odometer, this rig just keeps on chugging! Still, there are certainly things that need to be done.
Firstly, Garrick plans to replace the tires, and probably the wheels. He also intends to repair the leak in the power-slide rear window, install a driver’s side swing case, replace the stock step bars, and much more. This ride has a long way to go, but it’s on its way!
