What you see before you once was a pile of rust. It was a basket case, an absolute tragedy. But thanks to the work of the owner, Delmar Bequette, his wife, his son, brother in-law, and his grandson, they turned the tide of time, and restored this beautiful 1942 Ford Semi-Tractor.
Over Ford’s history, the company has built everything from police wagons to ice cream trucks and everything in between. However, many of these work specific trucks get overlooked in the collector car market and only go for pennies on the dollar.
There has been quite a lot of talk in regards to Ford going to an all aluminum body for the new F-150. Everyone has weighed in on the situation at least one time or another.
A witness described the driver after the accident as, “The driver wasn’t hurt but he looked as white as a sheet, he was no doubt trying to think of how he was going to explain it to his bosses at Ford.”
