2024 Ford Ranger Raptor SUV Renderings Attempt to Bring the Bronco II Back
This rendering has us pining for a 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor based SUV that could serve as a Bronco II successor.
Earlier this year, The Blue Oval revealed the all-new 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, the next-generation version of its rugged, high-performance, off-road-focused mid-size pickup. For the very first time, the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor will be coming to America as well, which is obviously huge news. But many still pine for the SUV version of the new Ranger – the Everest – which will not be sold in the U.S. However, this new rendering from an artist named Jim – or jlord8, as he’s called on Instagram – imagines what a two-door, Bronco II successor might look like if it was based on the new Ranger Raptor. Needless to say, it’s pretty awesome.
While the Bronco II sold in large quantities during its years on the market, it was also plagued with a tendency to roll over quite easily, a product of its short wheelbase and taller ride height. But what if Ford gave it another go, building a more modern, safer version of the two-door SUV for the masses? And what if it did so with some serious off-road chops in a vehicle that could be sold alongside the Bronco as a fixed-roof alternative?
Well, it would (or at least should) probably look something like this. We’re certainly digging the way the new Ranger Raptor looks, and this rendering doesn’t reinvent the wheel in that manner. Rather, Jim essentially just took the rugged pickup, chopped off the bed, and added a cargo area behind the front seats. It’s just that simple, really, but also quite effective.
Seeing as how Ford is selling everything it slaps a Raptor badge on in large quantities these days, we have to imagine that such a machine would be a hit, too. However, we’re not entirely sure Ford would ever build a two-door SUV, as those have essentially gone the way of the dinosaur.

More realistically, the automaker could simply make a Raptor version of the Everest and bring it to the states, giving us a seriously capable family hauler that looks every bit as cool as it performs. That’s obviously not likely to happen, but there’s also nothing wrong with wishing that it does.
