Power Stroke-Swapped 1973 Ford F-250 Is a Scratch-Built Masterpiece
This incredible 1973 Ford F-250 quite literally has it all, from a modern drivetrain to great looks to a comfy interior.
Since the early days of hot rodding, many have spent countless hours in their garages creating vehicles that never were. Or, at the very least, stuffing giant engines into pretty much any kind of vehicle you can think of. That’s certainly the case with this 1973 Ford F-250 owned and built by a guy named Kenny, or Ford Guy NJ, as he’s known on social media. The transformation this pickup went through is simply incredible, and the end result is even more so.
As is often the case, Kenny’s 1973 Ford F-250 project started out with a rough roller that needed a ton of work. Thus, he started by stripping the pickup down to the bare frame, then coated everything in Zero Rust to protect it moving forward. He knew from the start that he wanted to install a modern (and bulletproof) 7.3-liter Power Stroke diesel in the pickup, so the hunt for a donor was on.
Soon, Kenny came across the perfect donor truck – a 1996 Ford F-350 welding rig with lower miles on it. He proceeded to remove that truck’s engine, transmission, transfer case, and front and rear differentials for use in his classic project.
