Lifted 1983 Ranger with 450 Horsepower Almost Flips
Lifted trucks are fun, especially when they are packing big time horsepower under the hood. But when you combine those two ingredients with a light weight, narrow, and fairly short wheel base, things can get out of hand in a hurry.
Here we have such a beast, driven by a guy who is obviously showing off for the camera, as well as his two lady friends inside the cab. This 1983 Ranger with a 450 horsepower heart tears up some turf with ease and sounds great in the process.
Things almost go horribly wrong, however, when the driver gets a little too cute around the 40 second mark of the video. Giving it a little gas while turning the wheel sharply, Ranger man undoubtedly scares the bejesus out of the cameraman as he almost turns the truck upside down.
The rear driver’s side tire leaves the ground by several feet and the truck twists at an uncomfortable angle before the driver lets off. It actually seems like the passengers enjoyed the ride, while the driver himself looks a little shaken up.
Let this be a lesson – you might be able to build a truck that defies everything the manufacturer intended it to be capable of, but you can’t defy the laws of physics.
