Roush F-150 Supercharger Kit for 2021-2023 5.0 F-150s with Pro Power OnBoard

The latest Roush F-150 Supercharger kit is the first to allow 5.0 owners with Pro Power Onboard to enjoy boosted Coyote goodness!

Maybe it’s only crazy if you were born in the 20th century. But these days it’s not hard to drive around in a street-legal, reliable 700+ horsepower F-150. Simply buy a 2021+ F-150 with the 5.0L Coyote V8, install an aftermarket supercharger kit, and away you go. Ford Performance, of course, made headlines a few weeks ago with their 700 horsepower FP700 kit. However, late last week Roush Performance may have topped that announcement with the latest Roush F-150 supercharger kit.

And not just because you can get a 705 horsepower Roush Supercharger kit for your 2021+ F-150 5.0… No, the fun part is that Pro Power OnBoard guys (and gals) are included too. And the kit is quickly becoming 50-state-legal.

Roush Performance has, for a while now, offered its TVS R2650 (2.65L) Supercharger Kit (part number 422240) for 2021 to 2023 Ford F-150s equipped with the 5.0L V8 (including Tremors). This 2.65L roots-style blower, according to Roush —

utilizes four-lobe rotors twisted 170 degrees, resulting in enhanced thermal efficiency, higher volumetric capacity and improved airflow into the engine. Larger bearings and thicker timing gears further increase its durability. Additionally, the supercharger is equipped with a custom high-efficiency aluminum intercooler and high-capacity coolant reservoir, which work together to keep the engine cool.

To oversimplify some wonderful engineering, this Rousch kit pushes the humble 5.0L Coyote from 400 horsepower to 705 horsepower (and 635 lb.-ft. of maximum torque). All while retaining all the stock driving modes, offering a 3-year/36,000 mile limited powertrain warranty (if assumed by an ASE technician for a Ford dealership), and 50-state legal emissions compliance (thus far, for 2021 models only).

NOTE: this video is of the NON Pro Power OnBoard version.

However, just like the Ford Performance kit listed above,  5.0 owners who purchased F-150s with the optional 2.0 kWh Pro Power OnBoard generator functionality could NOT add a supercharger. (It’s my understanding that the Pro Power OnBoard’s extra alternator interferes with various piping and hoses.)

But that changes now with the addition of Roush’s Pro Power On Board 2021-2013 supercharger kit (part number 422315). Available to ship as early as next month (October 2023), this revised kit, as well as this $300 conversion kit, allows Pro Power OnBoard F-150s to get the exact same 705 horsepower and 635 lb.-ft. of maximum torque on 93 octane fuel. (The kit also works with 91 octane.) It too offers the Roush limited powertrain warranty and 2021 CARB Executive Order (fingers crossed for 2022 & 2023).

Roush Performance currently lists the base 2021-2023 F-150 Supercharger Kit for $8,649.99 on its website. The newer Pro Power Onboard variant will sell for $9,149.99. Oddly enough, at time of publishing, if you own or purchased the standard version and buy a $300 upgrade kit, it’s cheaper than buying the Pro Power On Board variant itself.
