Keeping a Beautiful 1968 Ford F-100 in the Family
New FTE member inherits gorgeous Ford from his grandparents. Now, we get to see it whipped back into shape!
It’s a story that many of us are quite familiar with. We grow up with fond memories of our grandparents or parents owning an old Ford truck. We half-jokingly tell them that one day, we hope that they pass said truck on to us. And then, a good percentage of the time, that dream actually comes true.
For brand new Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum member Wideflange, common tale came to life when his grandfather left him this gorgeous 1968 Ford F-100. It was the only new vehicle his grandparents ever purchased. And it’s quite obvious by the pictures he provided that they treated the truck like a member of the family.
Regardless, the old 360 V8, 3-speed, long bed Ford needs a little TLC to get it in tip top shape. Thus, the OP has admittedly been lurking on the FTE forums for quite some time now. Soaking up all the information he needs from our resident experts. And now, finally, he’s decided to make this relationship official and become a member.
We’re certainly excited to see this old family heirloom whipped back into shape. And we join the rest of the FTE community in welcoming our newest member!
