Ford Super Duty Tries to Cut Drive Thru Line, Karma Strikes Back

Ford Super Duty Gets Stuck Cutting Drive Thru Line

This Ford Super Duty FX4 is off-road capable, but that doesn’t always mean that it’s capable of overcoming bad decisions.

There’s a saying about karma, and, well, we’re all pretty aware of it. But we’re also aware of the fact that it certainly seems true, because those that do bad things typically wind up paying some sort of price, whether that be right away or later on down the road. Just take this Ford Super Duty driver for example, who recently tried to cut ahead of some other patrons in a drive-thru line by hopping a curb and driving through the grass, only for karma to strike back immediately.

There’s a lot to digest in this short clip recently posted to to TikTok, but what we do know is that the Ford Super Duty is pretty new – a 2020-2022 model – and that it’s equipped with the FX4 Off-Road Package. That means it’s packing an array of upgrades designed to make it more capable – you guessed it – off the pavement. But funny enough, the driver quickly finds themselves stuck in the muddy mess that is the grassy area they try to traverse.

It’s bad enough that the front tires are sinking in that mud when this clip begins, but the driver fully commits and manages to get the rear tires over the curb too, which only makes matters worse. The driver just keeps giving it more throttle, and the tires proceed to sink right into the ground, leaving the truck and its likely embarrassed owner sitting around waiting for help rather than some quick lunch they were probably pining for.

The clip cuts off before we can see if the Super Duty ultimately got free or not, but toward the end, the driver manages to back up and get the rear wheels back on the pavement, at which point he lights them up trying to free himself. However, a follow-up video shows the aftermath, which is a pretty torn up grassy section and notes that another truck came along and pulled him out. The police were even called, so we imagine that the driver might also have to pay for his poor decision, too.

It isn’t surprising to see commenters bashing the driver and Ford in general, but in this case, just about any truck would have suffered the same fate. After all, just because our trucks are off-road capable, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re capable of overcoming dumb decisions.
