Ford Dealer Ad is a Better Summer Blockbuster than Dark Phoenix

Action-packed commercial from Texas’s Payne Weslaco Ford has all the explosions you want, plus awesome Ford trucks.

What’s summertime without a trip to the movie theatre to check out the biggest blockbusters on the silver screen? Kicked off by Jaws and Star Wars in the mid- to late Seventies, the world of cinema’s been rocked ever since by the likes of Die Hard, Top Gun, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

What’s even better than a summer blockbuster? A summer blockbuster featuring our favorite Ford trucks and SUVs, of course! Weslaco, Texas’s Payne Weslaco Ford dropped one on its customer base a few days ago, and it’s got us rolling the floor in stitches.

In a world where wacky arm-flailing tube monsters dance to the rhythm of madness amid lots of bland, boring cars and trucks, the men of Payne Weslaco Ford are ready to shake things up with tons of savings on their selection of F-150s, Super Dutys, and Explorers.

There are tons of references to classic action films, including this epic handshake from Predator between Mark and Austin Payne (which doesn’t turn into an arm wrestling match, as it did between the characters played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers). Plus the famous line uttered by Danny Glover’s character in Lethal Weapon about being “too old for this shit,” only it’s Mark and Austin’s father Bud Payne about bad deals instead of dangerous situations.

And what’s a summer blockbuster without cool guys walking away from and not looking at big explosions? The Payne lads sure know how to rock the showroom, especially when it comes to knocking off thousands of dollars off a new F-150 SuperCrew.

How much? Try $11,000 off MSRP. That’s an explosive blockbuster of deal right there, enough to make Austin take off two pairs of sunglasses (but still not look at the cool explosion behind him, because he’s too cool for that).

It’s not the first time the Paynes have made advertising fun to watch. The Payne Auto Group has a page on their website devoted to the more humorous side of the family. That’s definitely a formula for success in selling the best Ford has to offer, “regardless” of who may say otherwise.
