Brilliant Blue F-350 OBS Blends with the Vegas Sky
Draped in gold, 1997 F-350 OBS build named ‘GOLD-$CHLAGER’ is as Texan as bluebonnets, Blue Bell ice cream, and the King Ranch.
SEMA 2018 is the place to be, and we’re happy to bring you the sights of all the amazing Ford trucks and SUVs hanging out in and around the Vegas Strip.
Speaking of Vegas, this 1997 F-350 OBS, owned by Michael Rivera (hollywood_mike on Instagram) has all the glitz and glamor of the desert city, with a body that could easily disappear into the bright desert sky.
Dubbed “Gold-$chlager” by Rivera, the F-350 OBS is in its latest incarnation, having once been a standard OBS in white before transformed twice by Midland, Texas suspension manufacturer Tweety’s Tire, the first transformation captured by one of our favorite videographers, Salinas Photography.
Since then, the white paint and candy red suspension bits have given way to the blue and gold motif on display at SEMA (though it was almost dark gray and gold before the blue was swapped in). The 7.3-liter Powerstroke turbo diesel now moves a set of gold American Force wheels wrapped in knobby Fury tires, while the body rides upon a custom airbag suspension.
While it’s wonderful to see old-school pickups and modern-day road warriors get the SEMA treatment, it’s also excellent to see trucks like this F-350 OBS strut its stuff with the best of them.
