Thanks to a Roll-A-Long Vans conversion, this 1989 Ford F-350 features a host of cool features inside and out.

Trucks have changed a lot over the past few decades, going from more basic workhorses to do-it-all, luxurious, and increasingly powerful all-rounders. However, that isn’t a good thing in the opinions of many, who wish that we could still go out and buy a relatively simple truck – or even one with a few creature comforts – for anything resembling an affordable price. It’s quite possible you still can, at least in the form of this very cool 1989 Ford F-350 Crew Cab dually up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

Amazingly, this particular 1989 Ford F-350 is a one-owner vehicle with just 67k miles on the clock, but that isn’t the coolest thing about it – rather, it was treated to a Roll-A-Long Vans conversion that gives it a truly retro look reminiscent of that era. That work began on the outside, where this pickup features a custom paint job with multicolor stripes to accent the factory Deep Shadow Blue Metallic paint. A bed cap, towing mirrors, tinted windows, and mud flaps round out the old-school look.

Inside the cab, you’ll find a plush cloth interior with captain’s chairs up front, a carpeted dash cover, Alpine stereo, and aftermarket subwoofers. There’s some wood trim as one might expect, a center console, and various amenities including air conditioning, cruise control, a Draw-Tite trailer brake controller, a sliding rear window, and power windows and door locks. If that isn’t enough, the entire bed has also been fitted with a pair of bench seats trimmed in gray upholstery that also double as storage.

Pop the hood, and you’ll find that this massive rig is powered by Ford’s 460 V8, which was originally rated to produce 230 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, which is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. There are dual fuel tanks for those longer road trips, though clearly, this truck hasn’t been on many of those.

A truly cool relic from the past, this 1989 Ford F-350 has been preserved like fine wine for future generations to enjoy, and now, it’s seeking just its second owner in 33 or so years. As of this writing, this awesome pickup hasn’t received a ton of bids, so the new owner might also be able to scoop up a cool and simple truck for a very reasonable price, too.
