MegaRexx SVN Is the Brand New Excursion That Ford Won’t Build
The MegaRexx SVN fills the gap left behind by the discontinued Excursion as a massive seven-passenger SUV.
The Ford Excursion remains a highly popular and sought-after vehicle among both Blue Oval fans and those seeking an SUV that can tow pretty much anything while hauling the family and all of your worldly possessions at once. A vehicle like this simply doesn’t exist anymore, and it likely never will again. However, MegaRexx Trucks – makers of the massive MegaRaptor and the equally massive Ford Bronco-inspired MegaBronc – has conjured up an appropriate alternative, and it’s dubbed the MegaRexx SVN.
As is the case with those other vehicles, the MegaRexx SVN starts life as a crew cab Super Duty with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel under hood, making it quite capable right off the bat. From there, the team aimed to transform the pickup into a true seven-passenger SUV in the vein of the Excursion, giving it a hand-formed, aluminum SUV-style roof, custom one-piece side glass, and a third-row bench seat lifted straight from its discontinued predecessor.
Based on an F-250 Lariat Ultimate, there’s plenty of luxury present inside the cabin as well, with power heated and ventilated front seats, Ebony Black micro-perforated leather, and even a Vintage Air rear climate control system with heating and air conditioning for rear seat passengers.
As one might imagine, the MegaRexx SVN is also equipped with all of the goodies that make the company’s other trucks so darn ridiculous and capable, including a Carli 2.5-inch Commuter Suspension & Leveling System, satin black 20×10-inch Fuel Militia wheels, and 35×11.50-inch R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler M/T tires.
The beauty of builds like this is that interested customers can reach out to MegaRexx, tell them what they want, and the company proceeds to build their dream rig and ship it back to them. In this case, the SVN starts out at $139,950, or one can bring in their own truck and have it converted for $35,000 or more, depending on the options they choose. That’s obviously a lot of coin, but the SVN is a lot of vehicle – not to mention one that you simply can’t buy anywhere else these days.
