Project trucks just don’t get much bigger, or much cooler, than an old Ford F-600 sitting on massive military tires.

In the world of trucks, bigger is almost certainly always better. There’s nothing we love more than a an old school brush truck, COE, or six-door monster of a pickup. So when we came across Ford Truck Enthusiasts member Dave Squireslatest project, a 1975 Ford F-600, it was love at first sight. The fact that it’s already sitting on massive rubber only makes it that much more appealing.

“Hey guys, I recently pick up this beauty from a hillbilly near my home. It was built as a forest fire water tanker. The hillbilly did some ‘custom’ work I need to repair, but I’m looking forward to the project. I plan on using this around the lake for putting in my boat. It’s a 16 ft tinner with a 25 hp tiller. Not overkill at all! Figured I would toss up a few pictures for the group!”

Watching this thing tow around a tiny little boat is something we personally can’t wait to see. Heck, you could just install some sort of extendable ramp on the bed and probably roll it on and off. The possibilities here are virtually endless. Just seeing this thing sitting on a trailer, pulled by a somewhat large Ram 2500 is quite comical as it is.

This old Ford is nearly big enough to roll over the Dodge, which is personally what we’d use it for. Then, Squires can go ahead and get himself a proper Super Duty tow rig. We’re kidding, of course. Well, maybe a little. But personal choices aside, this old Ford is undoubtedly an awesome buy. And we’re not even sure that we’d change anything about it the way it sits now.

One thing that we can say for certain is that we can’t wait to watch this massive F-600 get fixed up. And we’re betting that you feel the same way. So be sure and head over here to stay tuned for future progress. As awesome as this thing looks already, you know it’ll be well worth the wait!
