starting to build my 97 cclb f350. It has a mrbp exhaust, riff raff filter and ts chip. Gonna start with the drive train and making this a long term owner project. Truck had 140k miles. I'm not looking to blow black smoke or light up the tires. I'm looking for a strong pulling reliable truck. The trans is a reman that was installed at 80k miles. With the ts chip (which i mainly use for high idle in the winter) if I do put it to the 70 setting, sometimes the trans upshifts hard if I'm on the gas. On the stock setting I have no issues.

So so I was thinking of upgrading the trans with performance parts and upgrading the torque converter. Any suggestions on what rebuild kit to use?

And suggestions for the engine? Upgrade the turbo? Injectors? Not really sure.

 

Is shifting hard on the 70hp setting the only thing its doing wrong? If its just that I wouldn't worry about it. As far as upgrades, do a search and read people's signatures.

 

well. I've been searching. I'm thinking engine wise just add a intercooler and a 1.0 housing with a riff raff billet wheel. I think that's all I really need at this point. Still need to do some research on the tranny and torque converter. I probably want to at least rebuild the tranny with some performance parts...gonna search for a one stop kit
