Alright guys so this isn't my first winter in my truck but sheesh it's already freezing and only getting colder. I own a 64 so it has the pull **** vent things for fresh air when you're driving. I don't remember it leaking much air last winter, but with that in addition to the lack of insulation and my terrible weather stripping makes for a cold ride, especially for a daily driver. Anybody know a good way to fix the vents to keep from so much air from blowing through the vent when it's closed?
EDIT: by "cold" I mean I live in the south and have been whining over 40 degree temperatures. But the lows this week are supposed to drop to the 20s
I once saw a cowl vent cover that used something like toggle bolts that fit through the vent grill to hold it in place.
It might have been used to keep rain and leaves out but I'm sure it would help keep cold wind out too.

Just to make you feel better about the temp where you are, I was outside shovelling snow today, it was -19 deg C (-2 deg F), but after factoring in the wind chill factor, it was -26 deg C (-14.8 deg F).....and tonites forecast low is -32 deg C (-25.6 deg F). And it's only early December
Do y'all feel any warmer now??
That Centigrade, always makes it seem colder out than it really is don't you think?
I'm a little old school (as is my ride), I haven't yet gotten to Celsius!

You could tape them closed for winter. Some larger hardware stores used to carry magnetic vent covers for home heating and cooling vents. For your doors you can use some thin open cell weather stripping to help seal the doors
