Valve bridges

I replaced #1 injector today and found cracks on
#1 and #3 valve bridges. What is my course of action I should take to replace these. Is it possible to replace without removing the head. I am not studded but don't really have the funds at this time to do so. Is it possible to remove the head bolt and replace without comprising the head gasket.

I could be wrong but I don't think that's a crack. I think that's just casting imperfection. Look in your 2nd picture to the left of the "E". Basically the same thing going on there. Also if that's a crack, it's going perpendicular to the application of force which doesn't make any sense.

They're fine. They are forged and have imperfections like that. Here's a picture of brand new ones and you can see the same thing near the ends.

1) As said that's not a crack, so no need to replace the valve bridges.

2) For posterity, there's a tool that lets you remove the rocker arms and valve bridges without removing the head bolt:
OTC 303-1170
Rocker Arm Release Tool 303-1170 ZTSE4697

Thank you for the replies. My heart sank when I saw those and thought I had a serious problem on my hands.

I work at a structural steel fabrication shop. In my opinion, that this part is stamped.

When you stamp a part, it slightly tears the in some locations.

I agree. Custom punch and die makes these from sheet material. Not cast or forged.
