I'm not on this sight much these days, but conspicuous by his absence is AXRACER. What ever became of him?

He is active on Facebook, so maybe he's just taking a break from FTE.

Rdrmilt, did you read the last post before you posted? Schuyler said he is active on facebook so he can't be that bad.

Axracer has been around for a long time and I am relatively new here. My general impression, however, is that Ax's non participation lately is a reaction, at least in part, to the criticism he sometimes received for some of the advice he gave. Ax, I believe, is a confident guy, and he seemed to have a hard time whenever other FTE "experts" disagreed with him.

Ax has always been a great source of information and helped me learn how to use my welder thru his tutorial. I may not have always agreed with him when he got (let's say) upset but I still respect his knowledge and willingness to give good advice. I hope he comes back soon as a lot of his comments were entertaining and put a smile on my face. Ax if you are reading this don't let the turkeys get you down come back soon as some of us still need your help and knowledge.

Well said.

Axracer is certainly an asset to this site. He does have a lifetime of knowledge and is very willing to help people understand how things work and the proper way of doing things.

I as well have not always seen eye to eye with him.

However I would never shy away from anyone else's idea or point of view. Sometimes My way isn't ALLWAYS the right way. The results will end up the same way as others with different means.

Regardless we are here as Ford Truck Enthusiasts. This is supposed to be fun, and entertaining.

Axracer is always welcome here regardless if some people don't appreciate his help.

I noticed he was catching a lot of crap every time he posted there at the end, mostly by a couple different members that he must of rubbed the wrong way with his strong opinions.
I liked his wealth of knowledge and readiness to help answer questions tho.

One thing I picked up from Ax was eye safety. I read about his family member getting poked in the eye by a wire wheel so I always use safety glasses now. I was really bad about that before. The little brushes from HF are especially bad about flying off........

I never knew enough to agree or disagree with Axe but he took a lot of time to help. I also learned a lot from some of the debates. I just tried to stay out of the way when the intellectual titans battled. I would like to see him come back.

What most of you new comers and even some who have been here for quite some time is that the information although good was copied from such things as the instruction manual he got with his welder, research any of you could have gotten from the internet ,called it his own. He's by a video, watch it , then tell everyone how it's done without ever doing it himself. He would quickly tell every newcomer that bumps elbows with him that he has been building hot rods for 50 years and when I had asked if he had any pictures to show his work this is what he replied in that post, read for yourselves...
