hi does anyone know if powder coating will work on chrome and what needs to done to the chrome thanks rob

 

I had the stock alloy wheels for my '97 F150 powdercoated due to the clearcoat failing on a refurbished wheel that was all that the insurance company would pay for after a woman hit my truck last year. The shop soda blasted the wheels to remove the clear, and then coated them with gloss black. I believe that they were chrome plated and clear coated instead of just being clear coated over polished aluminium. In any case they came out looking great!
