When I rebuilt my truck the progress was:
frame & axles
engine & tranny
radiator support
cab
inner fenders
outer fenders & grill
hood
back bed
back fenders

My biggest mistake was not getting the engine/tranny running like a top before I added more body parts. With those big round fenders and the hood on, it is amazing how much harder it is to get to some of those hard to reach items, even to tune up the carb!

Good luck on your rebuild.

Good point! So to avoid that same mistake i'm planning on getting the engine/trans installed and then tow it to the exhaust shop to get that fabbed up. That way I can test/tune the engine and trans without starting up an open header engine in my garage. Just something to keep in mind.

Seriously?!? What's wrong with you?!? That's my favorite part of a build!! But the neighbors - not so much.

Oh yea, that is the most awsome part of the build well besides driving it. I make sure to go out at least 2-3 times a week and run mine just to hear that baby rumble and to **** of the neighbors...
